|Description||Iroko is a large tree from the west coast of tropical Africa. It is one of the woods sometimes referred to as African Teak, although it is unrelated to the teak family. The wood colour is initially yellow but darkens to a rich brown over time. Given the high prices of genuine Teak, Iroko could be considered as a low-cost alternative. The wood is stable, durable, and has an overall look that somewhat resembles Teak. It is yellowish brown to dark brown, the quartersawn wood has dark grain and exhibits dark patches. The grain is typically interlocked and sometimes irregular. It is popular for domestic parquet flooring where underfloor heating is used.|
